Labyrinth Schedule
Labyrinth is a spiritual discovery community made of people longing to break out of the stereotypes so that we can be free to be exactly who we are. We’re on the drag right across from campus, on the south side of 22nd Street between Guadalupe and San Antonio, and we meet throughout the week. Just check out the schedule below. Tuesday Night Community Dinner & Encounter
7:00 pm Tuesday evenings in the Labyrinth Lounge, beginning September 4
Tuesdays are hard to get through, we know. So come chill with the community on Tuesday nights at 7:00pm for the Labyrinth Community Dinner, as we catch up, have group discussion, and simply enjoy each other’s company. The dinner gives way to the Labyrinth Tuesday Night Encounter at 8:00pm – a mix of Bible study, prayer, meditation, and dialogue on contemporary issues.
Wednesday Night Coffee House & Study Hall
Wednesday evenings in the Labyrinth Lounge, beginning October 3
Come enjoy free coffee, tea and snacks while you hit the books. Make the Labyrinth Lounge your safe home away from home, a quiet alternative place to study, and a cozy spot to hang out with friends.
Worship at University Baptist Church & Sunday Lunch
11:00 am Sunday mornings, beginning September 2
Whether you’re traditionally Baptist and super religious or not, we invite you to come to worship with us in UBC’s beautiful sanctuary. It is an eclectic service with a mix of traditional and contemporary elements, and we often have local Austin musicians lead us in worship. We also invite you to stick around after worship and join some of our regulars for lunch (our treat)!
Looking for volunteer work? Come and serve with us!
We are always looking for ways to serve others, and our members also serve in ways that speak to them. We hope you’ll find a way to serve that fires your passion! Contact Amelia for more details or to volunteer with any of the following programs:
God’s Family Dinner, Every Thursday from 4-6 pm at UBC– Help us serve a home-cooked meal to ~250-300 people in need each week. Tasks include cooking, serving, cleaning and helping our dinner guests feel welcome.
Micah 6 Street Youth Drop-In Center, Every Sunday from 2-6 pm at UBC– Help us create a safe and relaxing environment for the youth who make their home on the Drag. At the drop-in center, street youth can find refuge from in-climate weather, receive a home-cooked meal and use computers to access email and apply for jobs. Volunteers are needed to help cook, monitor the facilities and get-to-know these youth and their needs.
Monthly Mini-mission Trip, First Friday of Each Month from 4-6:30 pm on the Drag– Join us as we step out of our comfort zones and down the street to partner with Street Youth Ministry of Austin and deliver food and hygiene supplies to youth living along the Drag.
Hospitality for Homeless Women, Exact Dates & Details TBA– Join UBC and Labyrinth as we participate with other faith communities in a pilot program to provide shelter for homeless women in Austin, which currently has no shelter services for women. Every few months, help us transform part of our building into a temporary shelter.
