Coping with COVID: Giving

University Baptist Church COVID-19 Charity Response Fund

The mission of the church is to serve, assist, and encourage its members as well as “to preach the good news, bind up the brokenhearted, free those who are captives, and proclaim the year of God’s presence” (Isaiah 61:1-2a).

Members of our church have consistently contributed their time, talent, and money, enabling University Baptist Church (UBC) to serve as a beacon of enlightenment at 22nd and Guadalupe Streets. As a result of hardships caused to our community due to the COVID-19 pandemic, UBC wishes to direct a portion of our funds to charities or nonprofit organizations to assist in addressing the needs resulting from COVID-19.

Every adult UBC member is invited to request a donation of $300 to a 501(c)(3) organization by emailing the official name and website of their selected organization to or by calling the UBC office at (512) 478-8559, extension 200. Requests must be made no later than June 15, 2020.

Organizations selected must be 501(c)(3) designated and working to support COVID-19 relief efforts. Please see a just a sample list of organizations below. Members are not limited to this list.
