Landry Duvall, M.M.

Landry Duvall has served as the Minister of Music and Outreach at University Baptist Church in Austin, Texas since 2015. He oversees the developing music program as a focal point of the sacred musical arts in the University of Texas community. He completed the Master of Music Degree in Church Music and Choral Conducting at Baylor University where he was a student of Dr. Lynne Gackle. There, he served as Graduate Assistant Conductor to the Baylor University Concert Choir and Baylor Bella Voce Select Women’s Ensemble. In addition, he also assisted in lecture with undergraduate Choral Conducting and served as organist for the George W. Truett Theological Seminary.

A diverse musician, Mr. Duvall has performed with gospel giants Keith and Kristyn Getty, Sandi Patty, and Bill Gaither. Most recently he had the opportunity to conduct and collaborate with the select choir of St. Martin-in-the-Fields, London: St. Martin’s Voices for a concert highlighting British and American sacred music. An avid proponent of sharing music globally, he performed music for the 70th anniversary of the bombing of Pearl Harbor in Honolulu, Hawaii and has served as a music missionary in El Salvador where he and other musicians provided music classes to children in the mountain city of La Palma. Additionally, Mr. Duvall traveled to Suzhou, China during the summer of 2015 to spend a month teaching English through music to migrant children, and to organize a music camp at the Lion Mountain Community Church that included over 200 children learning about music, English, and the Gospel.

A native Tennessean, Mr. Duvall holds the Bachelor of Music Degree in Church Music and Organ Performance from Carson-Newman University near Knoxville, Tennessee. He is a member of the American Choral Directors Association, The Texas Choral Directors Association, The American Guild of Organists, The Fellowship of American Baptist Musicians and Delta Omicron International Music Fraternity.
