Our children’s department is committed to helping children engage faith at their varied stages of development. We aim to create an environment for the children to learn the sacred stories of our faith as children see, hear, and experience these stories with new depths.
Pre-K through 4th grade
Our main priority for kids is that they know God loves them just as they are! We use the lectionary-based curriculum “Whirl” in Sunday School to help kids learn age-appropriate Bible stories and connect themes of God’s grace and welcome to their own lives.
Babies and Toddlers
We provide childcare for infants through kindergarten from 9:30 AM until 12:15 PM every Sunday. During Sunday School, toddlers (2-3 years) use the curriculum “Play-N-Worship.” This is an interactive way of teaching children basic Bible stories and leads the children on a joyful and play-focused discovery of God’s love.
Additional Information
University Baptist Church offers additional free childcare for all children during most church meetings and events. Throughout the year, the children have the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities from Vacation Bible School to Children’s Camp. Please contact the church office for more information about these activities.
Our children’s safety is of utmost importance at UBC! There are always at least two background-checked childcare workers or volunteers present to supervise kids’ classes and events.
